RIAs react to the 'lawless rioting and acts of domestic terrorism' at the U.S. Capitol at President Trump's urging: It's deeply wrong

To be fair, what we witnessed last summer in the streets was unacceptable as well. Let's not be biased in our rage of and for human expression in all its forms in a functioning democracy...

I hate when you show your political biases, it happens far too often for a professional industry blog. I don't condone the sacking of the capitol, but where were you when our cities were buring to the ground from rioters. Both are heineous acts, both should be condemed but what kind of a crazy world are we living in when the left says, "it's ok to burn down cities for social justice" and the right says, "it's ok to take the capitol becuase of voter fraud." Take a step back and recognize the faults of both parties and ideaologies. But condeming one while ignoring or supporting the other is wrong. And I didn't vote for Trump or Biden, both terrible candidates and both poor choices to run our country.

Everyone agrees that nobody should have stormed the Capitol. Everyone should also agree that the Capitol Police should have done a much better job than they did. However, I think this reaction in this article is what is wrong with America right now. Everyone jumps on social media and gives "their opinion" that they are "outraged". I wish that we could end all the "outrage", because all it does is keep dividing our nation. The truth will come out as to who the people were that stormed the Capitol, but critical thinking would say that you should not jump to conclusions and immediately express your "outrage". All you are doing is throwing gasoline on the fire. Do we really want to be a country like that where every time something happens, we all jump on Twitter and Facebook and express our "outrage?" Maybe I am wrong, but it all seems rather childish to me, this "outrage" stuff. Perhaps, we should go back to keeping our opinions to ourselves.

"Not a Trump Supporter" makes their either apathy or ignorance clear when they conflate protests for social justice with an armed insurrection to overturn the results of a legal election. I'm in shock from reading the commenter's take that "condeming one while ignoring or supporting the other is wrong" when one group includes neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, and violent and armed white supremacists. Thanks Brooke and team for the article. I'm heartened to learn of the industry's reaction and condemnation.

Time to bring back "truth, justice, as the American way". (not supergirl, super women or super man -- just a regular folk)
