Reddit and weep; Fidelity soars 68% in social media interactions, after embracing TikTok and other media, but sticks with the traditional output on Facebook and LinkedIn

The Boston giant' is getting past the old LinkedIn, Facebook paradigm, adopting a more casual tone and using third-party media for 'service.'

Thanks for this report, Lisa. So interesting that Fidelity is reporting on its social media interactions. Another consideration driving Fidelity and other brands to Reddit is that Google is driving search traffic to it by prioritizing forum content in search rankings. According to a report in May, Reddit traffic is up 40% year over year, thanks to Google. Like X, there are pockets of Reddit to avoid. But if you haven’t been in a while, you might want to check it out, especially https://www.reddit.com/r/CFP/ It's in the top 4% of Reddit communities.

Sample social media interaction: Random person on X: "Your platform sucks. Stuck on hold, can't login" Fidelity: "We apologize for the inconvenience. Hold times are longer than normal due to XXXX." Great job, Fidelity! Responding to more people without actually being helpful.

Millennial here. The whole reason I went to Fidelity from Robinhoid was because Robinhood blocked trading on GameStop during the meme stock craze. I didn't even participate but I didn't want my money with a company who was gonna block trades. Fidelity is great but their app could be a lot.less clunky, it's my only complaint.
